Fredrik Correa
After a short journey at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Fredrik studied Sports Science at the Swedish School of Sports and Health Science in Stockholm (GIH) with a focus on ice hockey, earning a B.Sc. degree. He has worked as an ice hockey coach for 15 years in different clubs and for The Swedish Ice Hockey Federation.
Further studies in physiology and several projects in exercise physiology at The Karolinska Institute led him to medical studies at Karolinska where he graduated in 2006. Fredrik is now an M.D. and has worked as a resident physician at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm where he became a specialist in 2016.
In 2011, Fredrik founded Exxentric together with Mårten Fredriksson. In his previous role, Fredrik oversaw Exxentric’s research and development department. Since 2019, he transitioned to CEO but still offers his flywheel training expertise as a participant in strength training events, podcasts, and interviews for audiences all over the world.
Fredrik is also a competitive powerlifter in his spare time, finalizing 5th in IPF Masters World Championships 2021.
