kPulley
Triceps Extension
The triceps extension focuses exactly on the muscle the name suggests, the exercise will also engage the upper body and core to keep your body stable throughout the exercise. Thanks to the flywheel technology, the isolated triceps extension is even more challenging when adding the back muscles to gain more speed in the concentric action hence overloading the eccentric phase.
Variations
The variations are many if you are looking for doing triceps extensions with the kPulley. Either switching the accessories or performing the exercise in a different position.
Triceps push-down:
Performed using a kBar or kGrips.
Set the kPulley slider to a higher position, grip the kBar or kGrips overhand and push down until you reach full extension in the elbow joint.
Single-arm Triceps Extension:
Performed using one kGrip.
Triceps overhead press:
Performed using a kBar or kGrips.
Similar to the push-down but instead, extend the drive belt and turn 180 degrees. Now push the attachment over your head. To see this exercise done on the kBox4, click here.
