The kBox4 and kPulley2 target many important aspects of elite skiers’ strength and conditioning needs and are already used in pre-season training by national alpine teams as well as freestyle skiers.

The possibilities of flywheel training on the kBox and kPulley highly correlate with the physiological requirements of competitive alpine skiing, offering accessible training for eccentric strength, anaerobic capacity and training in sport-specific angles.

Usage

With heavy flywheels for high inertia and its easy-to-adjust range of motion, on the kBox and kPulley skiers can grind through really heavy concentric and eccentric work with a constant load in both full-range squats (kBox) for building general strength and mass and also sport-specific in a more limited, deeper motion.

With the harness, unloading the spine in a forward leaned position, or by using a belt, they can stay leaned forward during squats and also work side to side to mimic the unilateral components of skiing.

Benefits

The versatility and efficacy of the kBox and the kPulley are two key reasons why alpine skiers choose to incorporate these devices and flywheel training into their programming.

High-level alpine athletes who travel roughly half, or more, of the year, never know what kind of equipment that will be available at the next mountain. With the kBox, efficient and supporting sport-specific training is easier to bring than a pair of skis, building a gym wherever the athlete is.

Also, the kBox and kPulley can be ideal and powerful tools for post-activation potentiation at the top, just before a world championship race.
