Description
Compatibility
The kMeter for the kPulley Go is compatible with all kPulley Go devices, while there is an important distinction between the type of kMeters that can be operated on existing and previous versions of the kBox4 Active.
The latest kBox version of the kMeter detects flywheel rotations through a magnetic sensor, which can be found on all Jet Black kBox Actives (including the available legacy model).
Whereas the previous iteration of the kMeter collects accurate measurements through a rubber sensor disc with spikes, which can be found on all other no longer available legacy platforms (Desert Bronze, Carbon Black, Arctic Blue, Frosty Green).
Please remember to verify the type of sensor disc on your kBox prior to placing an order by safely flipping your kBox over and inspecting underneath the shaft cover.
Specifications
The system measures flywheel rotations wirelessly with high accuracy at rotational speeds of 155 revolutions per second and at a sample rate of 10000 Hz it receives 64 impulses per revolution. This all gets processed in real-time into a smartphone app with a simple and accessible interface to present key training results, including:
- Concentric and eccentric power
- Range of motion
- Force
- Eccentric overload
- Energy expenditure
The kMeter system consists of two parts: the wireless transmitter connected to the flywheel training device and its corresponding app.
Exxentric App
The Exxentric App can be downloaded for free and installed by every user of a LegExx, LegFlexx, kPulley2, kPulley Go or kBox equipped with the kMeter hardware. Users can monitor the results directly on their mobile devices and are able to save, browse, share or even export for analysis.
