Implementing Flywheel Training for Enhanced Athletic Performance and Injury Prevention

Flywheel technology permits unique opportunities for training that were not possible with traditional resistance training methods. Dr. Mike Young will present on his research-based implementation of the kBox3 and kMeter in to the training plans of his athletes. Among the topics Mike will discuss are how he has used the kBox3 and kMeter for: daily monitoring, in-session instantaneous feedback and motivation, optimal development of eccentric force generating capacities and injury prevention protocols. The lecture will provide practical means and methods that coaches and therapists can employ.

From Patient to Olympian – Flywheel in the Clinic

Cas will share his experience from successfully applying ‪flywheel training‬ to rehabilitate Olympic fencer Bas Verwijlen’s patellar tendinopathy and how they use flywheel training in his flywheel-only clinic with both patients and athletes.

What’s new in flywheel science – update

This presentation will compile the peer-review studies over the last two years since the last Exxentric Summit and also maybe a look into current and coming projects that involves Exxentric and the kBox. Fredrik will also be the moderator of the Summit.

kBox Power Test Protocol, EDUcation Structure and #kBoxpt16

Henrik will present the protocol of the standardized 4 RM power test on the kBox and our coming project to collect reference values from a wide variety of subjects and sport. He will also present our already established courses and our growing education structure. Further on he will present the #kBoxPT16 project with kBox use in combined private and group training and the results from this project.
