We proudly present the speakers of the Exxentric Summit 2016, some of the world’s foremost flywheel training experts sharing their knowledge in Stockholm on May 21. They will offer you a variety of research and hands-on applications, bringing experience from different settings.
Implementing Flywheel Training for Enhanced Athletic Performance and Injury Prevention
Flywheel technology permits unique opportunities for training that were not possible with traditional resistance training methods. Dr. Mike Young will present on his research-based implementation of the kBox3 and kMeter in to the training plans of his athletes. Among the topics Mike will discuss are how he has used the kBox3 and kMeter for: daily monitoring, in-session instantaneous feedback and motivation, optimal development of eccentric force generating capacities and injury prevention protocols. The lecture will provide practical means and methods that coaches and therapists can employ.

Eccentric Training: Programming, Planning and Future Directions
Ben will provide an overview of the latest research on the area of eccentric training and explore current training concepts, practical applications and future research directions within this area and how the kBox can play a significant part on this.
Eccentric training and evidence based hamstring injury prevention
Georgios has been an invited speaker about flywheel training for rehab at several international events recently, and at the Summit he will share his knowledge in this area.
From Patient to Olympian – Flywheel in the Clinic
Cas will share his experience from successfully applying flywheel training to rehabilitate Olympic fencer Bas Verwijlen’s patellar tendinopathy and how they use flywheel training in his flywheel-only clinic with both patients and athletes.
The power of power – Physics meets physiology in kBox training
Sten is a former elite athlete turned independent app developer who designs, programs and markets advanced iPhone/iPad apps. If you have had any questions about the functionality and accuracy of the kMeter, this will be the time to ask.

Eccentric Training and The Younger Athlete
An insight to the practical application and progression of eccentric training through the Elite Performance Pathway LTAD system at St. Peter’s R.C. High School.
What’s new in flywheel science – update
This presentation will compile the peer-review studies over the last two years since the last Exxentric Summit and also maybe a look into current and coming projects that involves Exxentric and the kBox. Fredrik will also be the moderator of the Summit.
kBox Power Test Protocol, EDUcation Structure and #kBoxpt16
Henrik will present the protocol of the standardized 4 RM power test on the kBox and our coming project to collect reference values from a wide variety of subjects and sport. He will also present our already established courses and our growing education structure. Further on he will present the #kBoxPT16 project with kBox use in combined private and group training and the results from this project.
