Whereas the previous iteration of the kMeter relies on a rubber sensor disc with spikes for accurate measurements, and these sensors can be found on all other legacy platforms (Desert Bronze, Carbon Black, Arctic Blue, Frosty Green).
The system measures flywheel rotations wirelessly with high accuracy at rotational speeds of 155 revolutions per second and at a sample rate of 10000 Hz it receives 64 impulses per revolution. This all gets processed in real-time into a smartphone app with a simple and accessible interface to present key training results, including:
- Concentric and eccentric power
- Range of motion
- Eccentric overload
- Energy expenditure
The kMeter system consists of two parts: the wireless transmitter connected to the flywheel training device and its corresponding app.
The Exxentric App can be downloaded for free and installed by every user of a LegExx, LegFlexx, kPulley2, kPulley Go or kBox equipped with the kMeter hardware. Users can monitor the results directly on their mobile devices and are able to save, browse, share or even export for analysis.
