New App – Your Guide to Strength

If you don’t have a long education in exercise science, you might need some advice on how to plan your flywheel training for results. Therefore, we’re now launching a new app to help guide you to gaining strength on the kBox4, free of charge. Fredrik Correa brings you the details:

Already from the start of Exxentric in 2011, the kBox attracted strength and conditioning coaches and today numerous high-level teams in pro leagues and universities are users of our flywheel training equipment. These are expert users looking for an edge and they know what they want to do and what the want to achieve. Physios came along afterwards, and they are also experts in their field with a clear idea of what they want to do with the kBox and kPulley.

Our success among these user groups has attracted quite some interest from home users and private gym-goers as well, and we see this new user group expanding.

Tailored for private users

This is why we now wanted to create something to make flywheel training more accessible to those of you who are not training as a part of your professional lives. You might not have access to the kMeter or care about peak power or velocity based metrics. But you probably have different questions to get started, such as:

  • Which program is good for me as a flywheel training beginner?
  • What does this particular exercise look like?
  • How do I pick the right inertia?
  • How much did I train in the past weeks?

The brand new app

So, our team with in-house software engineer Yi Rong Na created the Flywheel Training app.

The app allows you to browse exercises, watch tutorials and use our template programs or create custom programs. You can watch videos of all basic exercises and follow your training volume. The app takes you through your training program, showing how each exercise is performed and allows you to record the number of sets and reps performed.

Starting today, the app is available for iOS in the App Store, and you can download it completely free of charge. If you like it, we hope to be able to develop it for Android as well.

We hope this can help all of you who are investing in your health and flywheel training. Also, for those of you who work with athletes or patients professionally, we hope you can find use of the app too for educating your new users.

Your feedback counts

Like always, the real work for us starts after the release of a new product. So, if you have any feedback for us on improvements or suggestions on new features, please let us know.

Happy DOMS!
