CLAC is a way to really maximize your work effort both concentric and eccentric in coupled, dynamic actions. The main thing is to prime a maximal concentric movement with an really heavy eccentric overload. The CLAC consists of coupled concentric and eccentric actions in this order:

1. maximal concentric action with auxiliary muscle to overload the flywheel (for example use legs in beginning of a biceps curl)

2. eccentric overload in the negative phase of the biceps curl

3. maximal concentric biceps curl to top positions

4. eccentric phase down to start position (a bit of resting phase which you most definately need).

With this primer the concentric action will be devastating and the most effective exercise you have tried. 5 reps equals 10 reps in an ordinary set and 5 maximal CLACs is probably max for every one, if you have any juice left after this you have probably cheated during the set. Take a rest and go at it again after 2 minutes.

There are variants in the video where Andy use a 2-legged squat to accelerate and single-legged squat in the negative phase to get the CLAC overload. After some CLACs you will truly realize the potential in flywheel training and regret all those wasted years in the gym pumping dead iron trying to conquer gravity for no good reason.

To be able to claim a medical effect (hypertrophy, strength gain …) you have to have CE marking since it is a then considered to be a medical device. Devices without the CE marking can’t claim a medical effect so look for the CE marking when looking for your new training equipment to minimize risk for injury to your athletes and patients.

This weekend we shot some video to put together instrucational videos for about 15 basic exercises with the K-box.
